I signed up for a dating website last week and a man, two years older than me, from California e-mailed me a day later. We’ve been e-mailing each other constantly and texting/talking ever since, and he’s just told me that he wishes to be with me until he grows old- he even mentioned flying me to California whenever I wish to visit. The problem is, is it possible for a man who’s never officially met me to develop such strong feelings for me so quickly? I’m honestly really baffled by this. I met my wife online, but we didn’t develope a real relationship untill after we met, and even then it took several months for it to become strong, we didn’t get married untill several years latter.

I have fallen in love with two people I met online, but only after I actually met them. With the others, the chemistry just wasn’t there. I remember one guy who was great for chatting, but we just didn’t click in person.
yes, it is possible to fall in love with someone online. while clearly, meeting someone in person gives far more opportunities of interaction, people still can and do lie. so then in that case, not only is there the filling in the idea, there is also the fact that idea was completely misrepresented as well. but even if everything was 100% honest, it simply is not possible to know everything about that person, so fills and assumptions will be made unless proven otherwise.
what are you talking about? i been with my chick for 6 years and we didn’t meet for 5 years and when we met we got it on and got married still getting it on. shes still amazing.

some people here are getting mad saying you CAN fall in love online and it works outside cyberspace and i agree it can happen i know someone who did it but i have also had a email/phone relationship before and once we started haveing face to face meetings i didnt like that person so much anymore. (no it wasnt about looks.)
so im saying you can fall in love but it doesnt always click in reality so be prepeared.

I have dated people for years and got to know them very closely and felt the same way about them after meeting. these people have a very conservative ways of thinking on this subject. That type of relationship might not work for them, but you can fall in love, and meeting online allows you to make a bond with who the person is INSIDE, not just what they are outside.
After all isnt it the inside that counts after all?
i agree i was with somone who i meet on a game sadly lol but any way we started talking on the phone and after about a year or so we disited to meet up so i payed for her to get on a plane to come see me. it was rather awkward at first but after about a hour or 2 i got pretty close to her and we both feel in love with each other right then and there.
i think its possible that you can actually virtually fall inlove with someone it almost happened to meet i really liked him and we talked and i couldnt sop thinking about him but i had to bring myself to the reality of the situation that we’re not really togather as jen said its like a fantasy until you actually meet them

hell yes its possible my fiance and i met on youtube 2 years ago, after 6 months i flew over to meet her and we spent a weekend together and it was amazing, now we cant wait to get married and have kids

I think it’s possible, I had a sister who met her husband online and they married like 4-6 months later and now they are still together and looking to adopting a child together.

i thin it’s possible, but you have to be honest about yourself, or you’d be a completely different person than then knew online.
you can but you have to be honest with yourself and know if you really love them or you just need to fill in an empty place in your heart ..

he flew here to meet me after six months of talking and he was exactly how i imagined him. We have been together for 2 years now and i can honestly say he is the love of my life We are just as inlove now as we were before i met him.
I’ve done online dating and I have to say the first time it’s possible to fall in love with someone online.The thing is you can’t really be in love love.Because theres no real interaction and feeling.everything is virtual.You can talk on phone or cam,but it’s not the same thing.If you really love someone you known for years online then go and try to meet up.But best is too know each others in real,and then see how things go on.
